First Edition - Indonesia: Eat This!

Malaysia is better than Indonesia.

  1. You said Malaysia is poor?
    • According from 2010 IMF data, Malaysia ranked 58 at the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) while Indonesia ranked at 122. Two other data (World Bank and CIA World Factbook) also shown Indonesia way below Malaysia in term of GDP, which is the indicator of the wealth of one nation.
    • Malaysia ranked 21 at the Ease of Doing Business Index while Indonesia lagging behind at number 121. This index is prepared by World Bank and it shows how easy business can be conducted and the security of it. Surely by looking at the ranking you wouldn't want to set up business in Indonesia.
    • Transparency International came out with Corruption Perceptions Index 2010, and Malaysia improve its position, ranked 56 while Indonesia ranked at 110. The index is created to evaluate and rank country based on perception of the level of the corruption in the country.
    • 1.2 Million of Indonesian worker works in Malaysia and wired the money back to their homeland.
  2. In football
    • Malaysia ranked at 144 while Indonesia is at 127 according to the latest The Fifa/Coca-Cola World Ranking. But with this improve side of Malaysia, it will soon change.
    • Indonesia has a very big population, in May 2010, the total population is 237,556,363 while Malaysia, a tiny nation only with 28,250,500 people as in July 2010.Reference. But they still use Uruguay-born striker, 34-years old Christian Gonzales to lead their charge after being neutralized by holding Indonesian passport for him to be eligible to play for his adopt nation. With the staggering amount of population, Indonesia still couldn't find a good and younger striker so they opt to give citizenship to the popular Gonzalez. While Malaysia rallies 100% on their citizen, including the coach, the only local coach being used in this AFF Suzuki Cup.
    • All Indonesia big wins, including 5-1 mauling of Malaysia in the first group game is on their own backyard, so they are only a local champ or 'jaguh kampung'.
    • Indonesians fans blame laser pointed at their player as the only reason why they lose, thus started an online campaign in twitter with hashtag #MalaysiaCheatLaser and #HATEMALAYSIA while their coach, their own coach denied the laser has played any part in his team's defeat. Reference.
    • While questioning Malaysia sportsmanship with the laser incident, they failed to realize that every time their player being tackle, they clutch their face as seems they are being shoved. Almost all the Indonesian player being tackle will do that even though they are being tackle at the feet.
    • 1st two goals scored by Malaysian players were the result of defensive lapses while the 3rd goal was purely a class act from Mahali and Safee.
    • Denying their weakness and blaming others is their specialty. With staggering amount of people in their country, they definitely win the numbers game thus make the hashtag #HATEMALAYSIA is in top 10 trending topics in Twitter, what a shame. They also flooded the wall of Nike Malaysia and other Malaysia football related websites with nasty comments and sometimes very very cruel and uncivilized comments towards Malaysia.
There is still 90 minutes to play in the final. May the better team win the cup and the loser will accept the failure, not trying to find excuse to cover their dignity.
